Yep, the title is right. You can actually experience GNU/Linux Operating System in your browser without installing anything!

The Javascript PC Emulator enables you to run commands, shell scripts, use tools such as vi and other shell utilities right from your browser. It’s an incredible piece of emulation software which can be used for numerous purposes (mostly for training).

The project was started by Fabrice Bellard, who has developed numerous software projects such as QEMU, FFmpeg and TCC(Tiny C Compiler). You can read more about Mr. Bellard’s work here.
